Can I bring a guest?
The bay is exclusive to the booked member during their session. Guests may observe but may not use the simulator equipment. If you would like to book a session with a friend or playing partner, they will need their own Vault membership.
Can I bring my own clubs?
Absolutely — bring whatever you have in the bag. The Garmin R50 works with any club.
Are balls, mats, and tees provided?
Yes. Range balls, a quality hitting mat, and tees are all supplied. Just bring your clubs and arrive ready to hit.
Is the bay left-handed friendly?
Yes. The Garmin R50 supports both left- and right-handed golfers with no setup changes required.
What is the off-peak session length?
Sessions booked Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm run for 90 minutes at no extra charge. All other sessions (peak hours and weekends) are 60 minutes.
What happens if I no-show or arrive late?
Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. If you do not arrive, the session is forfeited and still counts against your weekly quota. Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours in advance, and a session cancelled in time is returned to your quota.
What if my tier is full?
Scratch and Daylight are each limited to 10 seats, and full-access membership is capped at 40 in total. If the tier you want is full you can join the waitlist for that specific tier. When a seat opens we email the next person in line, and the invitation is valid for 48 hours.
Can I cancel or pause my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time from within the member portal. Your access remains active until the end of your paid billing period — we do not prorate partial months. We do not currently offer a formal pause option; if you need a temporary break, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Is there a joining fee or minimum contract?
No joining fee and no minimum contract. Monthly memberships are billed month-to-month. Annual memberships are billed upfront for 11 months (one month free) and are non-refundable after the first 30 days. Founding members keep their joining price for life.
How does the Scratch prime-time rule work?
Scratch gives you 4 sessions a week, of which at most 3 may start in prime time. There is no required split — 3 prime and 1 off-peak, 2 and 2, or all 4 off-peak are all fine. Only a 4th prime booking in the same week is refused. Need more than 4 sessions? Contact admin and we can raise your weekly limit.
What counts as prime time?
Sessions starting Monday to Friday between 5pm and 10pm, or Saturday and Sunday between 7am and midday. Everything else — early mornings, weekday afternoons, late evenings and weekend afternoons — is off-peak for capacity purposes.
What is the Daylight membership?
Daylight is our lowest-priced tier at R399 a month. You get 1 session a week, Monday to Friday, with the session ending by 3pm. No evenings and no weekends. It suits anyone who can practise during the working day, and it is limited to 10 seats.
How far ahead can I book?
It depends on your tier: Scratch books 14 days ahead, Grind 10 days, and Dial-In and Daylight 7 days. The calendar only shows the days your tier can actually book.
When does the booking week reset?
The booking week runs Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 SAST. A session counts toward the week it falls in. Cancelling before the 4-hour cutoff returns the session to your weekly quota; no-shows do not.
Is coaching or instruction available?
The Vault is a self-directed practice facility — we do not provide in-bay coaching. However, the Garmin R50 data is fully compatible with any PGA-qualified coach. Bring a coach to your session, or share your shot data with your coach remotely.
What if the equipment is not working when I arrive?
Contact us immediately. If a technical fault prevents you from using the bay during your booked session, we will credit you a replacement session at no charge.
How does the biometric door access work?
Once enrolled, your face is registered on the ZKTeco access control system. The bay door unlocks automatically when it recognises you, starting 15 minutes before your booked session and remaining accessible for 15 minutes after your session ends. No phone, no key, no PIN required.
Where exactly is the Vault?
The Vault is on the first floor of the Driving Range at Randpark Club, Johannesburg. Secure parking is available on-site. Full directions will be provided upon membership activation.
